About the Role:
We're looking for a creative Social Media Manager to own and grow our brand presence across social platforms. This role is social-media heavy, with PR and brand reputation as a strategic extension.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Management
- Own the brand's presence across Instagram, YouTube Shorts/Reels, and emerging platforms
- Plan and execute the monthly and quarterly social content calendar
- Lead short-form video strategy (reels, trends, storytelling, POVs, UGC-style content)
- Write and oversee on-brand, high-engagement captions and copy
- Track trends, memes, pop culture moments, and identify relevant brand hooks
- Manage and grow the online community (comments, DMs, brand interactions)
- Collaborate with design, video, performance, and influencer teams to deliver consistent output
- Monitor social metrics (reach, engagement, growth, saves, shares) and optimise content
2. Brand Voice & Consistency
- Be the custodian of brand tone and personality across all social content
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand values, positioning, and visual identity
- Partner with internal teams to translate business priorities into content narratives
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in social media content (D2C/startup experience preferred)
- Experience leading or mentoring small teams.
- Strong understanding of Instagram-first content and short-form video formats
- Excellent copywriting skills with a sharp sense of internet culture
- Hands-on experience managing brand social handles
- Comfortable balancing creativity with performance metrics
- Experience working with designers, creators, influencers, and agencies
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
Nice to Have
- Experience working with consumer brands, D2C, or content-led pages
- Exposure to campaign-based content or product launches
- Understanding of brand aesthetics and storytelling
