Job Description

Position: Social Media Manager

Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai

Job Type: Full-time in office

As our Social Media Content Manager, you'll be the architect of our publishing strategy across YouTube and Instagram. You'll work closely with our creative team lead in what to plan content, analyze performance, and study competitors to keep our channel growing.

Your Core Focus Areas:

  • Content Calendar Management: Schedule and optimize video drops, shorts, and stories.
  • Analytics & Intelligence: Track what's working (and what's not) and adapt strategi
  • Competitor Research: Monitor other automotive creators and platforms for trends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Calendar & Publishing Strategy (40%)

  • Plan and manage the weekly/monthly content calendar for YouTube (long-form videos, shorts) and Instagram (reels, stories, posts).
  • Determine optimal posting times based on audience activity and platform algorithms.
  • Coordinate with the scripting and production team to ensure deadlines align with the calendar.
  • Schedule content using tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Creator Studio.
  • Maintain a content repository (track video ideas, drafts, and publishing status).

2. Social Media Analytics & Reporting (30%)

  • Track key YouTube metrics: views, watch time, audience retention, CTR, and subscriber growth.
  • Monitor Instagram metrics: reach, engagement rate, reel plays, story completion rate.
  • Generate weekly/monthly performance reports with actionable insights (e.g., Shorts under 30 seconds get 2x more reach).
  • Use analytics to recommend content tweaks (thumbnails, hooks, posting frequency).
  • Set up UTM tracking to measure traffic from Instagram to YouTube.

3. Competitive Intelligence & Trend Spotting (20%):

  • Regularly analyze top 10 automotive YouTube channels (both Indian and global) for content trends, formats, and engagement tactics.
  • Track Instagram Reels trends (audio, effects, editing styles) relevant to automotive/lifestyle niches.
  • Identify emerging creators for potential collaborations (based on their content strategy, not just follower count).
  • Summarize findings in a monthly trends report for the team.

4. Community & Platform Optimization (10%):

  • Monitor comments and engagement patterns to inform future content (e.g., Viewers keep asking about X car feature).
  • Optimize video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) for YouTube SEO.
  • Suggest improvements to channel layout (playlists, featured videos, Instagram highlights).

Who Should Apply

Mandatory Requirements:

Experience: 2–4 years managing social media for a brand/channel (YouTube + Instagram essential). Agency experience is a plus, but in-house preferred. Should know everything about social media platforms.

Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of YouTube Studio (analytics, audience insights, traffic sources).

Hands-on experience with Instagram insights and content scheduling.

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies (e.g., We lost retention at 2:30 – let's test shorter intros).

Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with scheduling tools (Buffer, Later, Hootsuite) and basic Excel/Google Sheets for reporting. Automotive Interest: Not mandatory, but a huge plus – you'll be planning car content daily!

Nice-to-Haves: Experience with SEO tools (TubeBuddy, vidIQ) for keyword research. Basic graphic design knowledge (Canva for thumbnails/story templates). Understanding of cross-platform promotion (how Instagram drives YouTube traffic).
