We are looking for a Social Media Intern who is creative, curious and plugged into what's happening across Instagram, Reels and digital culture.

Role Overview

As a Social Media Intern, you will work closely with the Marketing team to build and grow Cosmos Diamonds social media presence. You will be involved in content ideation, trend spotting, content creation, shoots, community engagement and social media execution.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys jewellery, fashion, lifestyle content and storytelling — and can turn ideas into engaging social content.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Social Media

• Assist in managing Cosmos Diamonds Instagram and other social media platforms.
• Brainstorm creative ideas for Reels, posts, Stories and other social-first content.
• Stay updated on Instagram trends, trending audio, formats, memes and emerging content styles.
• Adapt relevant trends to suit the Cosmos Diamonds brand.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a social media content calendar.
• Write engaging captions, hooks, copy and CTAs.
• Assist with scheduling and publishing content.

Content Creation

• Support the creation of Reels, product videos, behind-the-scenes content and Stories.
• Assist with photoshoots and video shoots, including planning, coordination and on-ground execution.
• Capture quick, social-first content during store visits, events, launches and campaigns.
• Work with the marketing team to create content around products, jewellery styling, craftsmanship, lab-grown diamonds and brand stories.
• Help repurpose existing content into different social media formats.

Trend & Competitor Research

• Regularly track jewellery, fashion, luxury, lifestyle and D2C brands on social media.
• Identify emerging trends, creators, formats and content opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify interesting ideas that Cosmos Diamonds can adapt.
• Bring fresh and relevant ideas to the content calendar.

Community Engagement

• Monitor comments, DMs and social interactions.
• Respond to basic customer queries and interactions in line with brand guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to engage with relevant creators, communities and conversations.

Reporting & Analytics

• Track basic social media metrics such as reach, views, engagement, followers and content performance.
• Maintain a simple weekly/monthly social media performance tracker.
• Identify high-performing content and share learnings with the Marketing team.

What We're Looking For

• A strong interest in social media, fashion, jewellery, beauty, lifestyle or luxury brands.
• Excellent understanding of Instagram and short-form video content.
• Naturally curious about trends, creators, memes and internet culture.
• Strong creative sense and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable being on-ground for shoots, events and store activities.
• Ability to work independently and bring new ideas to the table.
• Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut or similar content creation tools is a plus.
• Photography/videography or basic editing skills are a plus.
