Social Media Manager - Global gaming account | Bangalore
Clevertize | 3 - 4 years experience | Hybrid, Bangalore
Clevertize is looking for a Social Media Manager who lives on the Tiktok & Instagram FYP, knows why a Discord drop matters more than a press release, and can tell the difference between a meme that'll age well and one that'll get bombed by Tuesday.
You'll be the social lead on a global gaming brand where the audience is sharp, terminally online, and very quick to call out anything that smells like it was written in a boardroom.
What you'll actually be doing
- Owning the client relationship. You're the POC. You'll run the calls, push back when the feedback is make the logo bigger, and bring the kind of energy that makes clients want you on every project.
- Building monthly content calendars that don't read like they were generated by a content calendar generator. Ideation, planning, sequencing - across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIN and TikTok (for the global handles), with Reddit and Discord in the mix where you will be building communities
- Writing creative briefs sharp enough that the design and copy teams actually want to work on them. Bonus points if you've ever made a creative director say okay, that's a fun one.
- Research & referencing - you should be the person who saves the screenshot, bookmarks the thread, and knows what three other gaming brands, 5 other tech brands did last week.
- Trend-spotting before the trend has a name. Audio, format, behaviour, sub-culture
- Reporting - turning numbers into narrative. Not engagement was up 12% but here's why this worked, and here's what we'd do more of.
- Home-shot Reels. Comfortable on camera, comfortable behind it. If a trending sound drops at 11pm and the moment needs us in it by morning, you can shoot it on your phone and edit it before standup. Bonus if you know your way around Capcut/ Edits
- Helping the team with ideas- UGC, hooks, smart thinking
What you bring to the table
Must-haves:
- 3 - 4 years as a Social Media Manager, must have worked on gaming clients
- Deep working knowledge of Discord, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok - not just posting, but understanding algorithm behaviour, format nuance, and what each platform rewards
- Direct client-facing experience (you've owned a relationship, not just sat in on calls)
Nice-to-haves (and we'll really pay attention to these):
- Influencer / creator campaign experience (briefing, scoping, managing)
- A genuine interest in understanding the brand/ product before hopping into the brief/ calls/ ideation
- A folder of saved memes you're weirdly proud of
Why this role is actually fun
- The accounts. Global gaming audiences that reward smart, fast, culturally fluent work.
- The work goes everywhere. Your output lives on global handles seen by millions, not just regional pages.
- You'll ship constantly. Social moves fast. You'll have wins (and learnings) in days, not quarters.
- Real ownership. You're the social lead on the account - not a cog in a 12-person pod.
