Role Summary
As a Social Media Executive, you will own and execute MyYogaTeacher's social media presence across platforms. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role that blends content planning, on-ground shooting, campaign execution, and brand storytelling.
You will work closely with Marketing, Content, Design, and Product teams to create high-impact social content that drives engagement, awareness, and growth. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, comfortable on camera, and excited to take full ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management & Content Planning
- Manage all social media channels (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as required)
- Plan, maintain, and execute weekly and monthly content calendars aligned with brand goals
- Stay updated on platform trends, formats, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant
2. Content Creation & Shoot Direction
- Conceptualize, shoot, and direct social-first content including reels, stories, posts, and short videos
- Provide strong shoot direction to teachers/students, founders, and on-camera talent
- Be comfortable appearing on camera when required (reels, BTS, announcements, explainers)
3. Campaign Execution
- Execute marketing campaigns across digital and select offline touchpoints
- Support product launches, brand initiatives, influencer collaborations, and community campaigns
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution and consistent messaging
4. Brand Building & Creative Strategy
- Assist in brand building through consistent storytelling and visual tone
- Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, formats, and content series
- Ensure brand voice and visual identity are maintained across platforms
5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Work closely with Design, Video, Content, Marketing, and Product teams
- Coordinate feedback, revisions, and approvals to ensure smooth execution
- Support integrated campaigns that cut across social, performance, and offline initiatives
6. Tools, Analytics & Reporting
- Use tools such as Canva, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, and social media analytics platforms
- Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, saves, shares)
- Share regular insights and recommendations to improve content performance
7. Ownership & Execution
- Take end-to-end ownership of social media projects from ideation to execution and reporting
- Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables independently
- Proactively identify opportunities, gaps, and improvements across social channels

- Engagement rate and follower growth across platforms
- Consistency and quality of content output
- Performance of social campaigns and launches
- On-time execution of content calendars and campaigns
- Contribution to overall brand visibility and awareness
Required Skills & Experience
- 24 years of experience in social media management or content execution
- Strong understanding of Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging social formats
- Hands-on experience with Canva, scheduling tools, and analytics dashboards
- Ability to shoot content on mobile or camera with strong framing instincts
- Comfortable coordinating shoots, being on camera, and giving clear creative direction

- Independently manage content calendars and daily execution
- Lead shoots and content creation for social platforms
- Execute campaigns and content series end-to-end
- Start optimizing content based on performance insights
Month 3 Scale & Optimize
- Fully own social media execution across platforms
- Improve consistency, quality, and engagement metrics
- Propose new formats, campaigns, and growth ideas
- Become a key contributor to brand storytelling and visibility
