About LocaXion
LocaXion is building the future of location intelligence — helping businesses and individuals understand, visualize, and act on geospatial data in ways that are intuitive, fast, and powerful. We're a startup with serious ambitions, and we're ready to build a brand presence that reflects that energy.
This is a ground-up role. There is no existing content presence to maintain — you will be the one creating it, shaping it, and scaling it. If that excites you, read on.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a rare blend: someone who can shoot and edit a crisp video, write a scroll-stopping LinkedIn post, understand platform algorithms, AND bring enough creative instinct to make a location-tech brand genuinely entertaining and viral.
You will own LocaXion's entire content operation across LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok — from zero.
This is not a social media management job. This is a content creation + strategy + production role. You will be thinking, scripting, shooting, editing, publishing, analyzing, and iterating — often all in the same week.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Video Production
- Concept, script, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube long-form, and LinkedIn — tailored to each platform's native behavior
- Build LocaXion's visual identity, tone of voice, and content personality from scratch
- Engineer scroll-stopping hooks — the first 1–2 seconds of every video must earn the watch
- Write scripts that feel completely unscripted — punchy, human, and platform-native
- Design and produce LinkedIn carousels, text posts, and native video posts for professional audiences
- Create thumbnails, cover graphics, and visual assets that convert impressions into clicks
Platform Strategy & Growth
- Develop a distinct content strategy for each platform — LinkedIn authority content, YouTube educational/entertainment, TikTok trend-native and brand personality content
- Stay obsessively current on algorithm behavior, trending formats, and viral mechanics across all three platforms
- Build a content calendar and maintain a consistent, high-velocity publishing cadence
- Engineer repurposing pipelines: one YouTube video becomes TikToks, LinkedIn posts, Shorts, and carousels
- Run A/B experiments on hooks, thumbnails, captions, and posting times to drive growth
Analytics & Iteration
- Own performance dashboards across all platforms — watch time, CTR, follower growth, saves, engagement rate
- Identify what's working and double down; kill what isn't, fast
- Present monthly content performance reviews with clear learnings and next-quarter strategy adjustments
Community & Collaboration
- Respond to comments, engage with followers, and build LocaXion's online community with genuine personality
- Collaborate with founders, product, and engineering teams to surface compelling stories, product demos, and behind-the-scenes content
- Identify creators and LinkedIn thought leaders for potential collaborations or features
Hard Skills — Non-Negotiable
Video Production & Editing
- Adobe Premiere Pro — primary editing tool, must be proficient, not just familiar
- CapCut Desktop/Mobile — for rapid short-form delivery, caption styling, and trending effects
- Adobe After Effects — motion graphics, text animations, lower thirds, kinetic typography
- Adobe Photoshop / Canva Pro — thumbnail creation, carousel design, brand assets
- On-camera shooting fundamentals — framing, 3-point and ring lighting, smartphone camera settings, lav mic usage
- Audio post-processing — noise reduction, music ducking, vocal clarity, royalty-free music sync
- Caption styling — auto-caption generation, custom font/color styling, timing corrections
- Export knowledge — correct aspect ratios, codecs, and compression for each platform (TikTok 9:16, YouTube 16:9 and 9:16, LinkedIn 1:1)
Platform-Native Knowledge
- TikTok — FYP algorithm mechanics, trending audio usage, watch time and comment hook engineering, TikTok SEO
- YouTube — long-form retention structure, Shorts strategy, SEO (titles, descriptions, chapters, tags), thumbnail CTR optimization, YouTube Analytics fluency
- LinkedIn — native video strategy, carousel copywriting, text post viral structure (hook value CTA), LinkedIn algorithm behavior
AI-Assisted Production (Strong Preference)
- Opus Clip or similar for AI-powered viral clip extraction from long-form video
- Descript for transcript-based editing, filler word removal, remote recording
- Canva AI / Adobe Firefly for fast asset generation and thumbnail ideation
- ChatGPT / Claude for rapid script drafting, hook generation, and caption variations

Who You Are
- You're a genuine creator — you consume enormous amounts of content, obsessively study why things go viral, and have strong opinions about what makes something scroll-stopping vs. forgettable
- You think in hooks — before you start scripting, you're already writing 5 different ways to open the video
- You can translate complex technical concepts (geospatial APIs, location data, mapping infrastructure) into content a non-technical person finds genuinely interesting
- You have a bias for action — you'd rather publish something imperfect and learn from data than wait two weeks for the perfect edit
- You're comfortable on camera, directing others on camera, or building compelling faceless formats — ideally all three
- You can work autonomously with minimal direction and bring ideas to the table proactively
- You understand that virality without brand consistency is just noise
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience creating content for at least two of the three platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
- A strong portfolio or channel — show us work you've made, not decks about work you might make
- Proven ability to grow an account from scratch or significantly grow an existing one — bring the numbers
- Demonstrable video editing skills in Premiere Pro or equivalent, with examples of motion graphics and caption styling
- Excellent written English for scripting, captions, and LinkedIn posts
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where priorities shift and speed is valued
Bonus Points
- Experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, mapping/geospatial, or data tech content
- You run your own creator account with meaningful traction
- Experience with LinkedIn thought leadership writing — your own or ghostwriting for founders
- Familiarity with SEO principles applied across platforms
What We Offer
- Ownership of an entire brand presence from day one — your most visible portfolio piece
- Competitive compensation benchmarked to Indian tech startup market rates
- Full creative autonomy to define LocaXion's content voice and visual identity
- Direct access to founders — no bureaucracy, fast decisions, immediate feedback loops
- Remote-first, flexible work environment
- Budget for equipment, software subscriptions, and creator tools
- Path to Head of Content as the team scales
