Job Description

About the Organisation:

NabaChetana Social Impact Foundation is committed to creating an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient society by empowering people and communities through education, livelihoods, health, environmental sustainability, innovation, and community participation.

The Foundation seeks to address interconnected social challenges by developing practical, inclusive, and community-centred interventions that enable underserved populations to access opportunities, build capabilities, improve their livelihoods, and participate meaningfully in society.

Its proposed initiatives span inclusive and technology-enabled education, adolescent empowerment, vocational training and entrepreneurship for persons with disabilities, climate action, sustainable agriculture, rural development, community welfare, and animal protection.

NabaChetana aspires to build scalable and sustainable models of social change through community participation, strategic partnerships, research, innovation, and measurable social impact.

Purpose of the Role:

NabaChetana is seeking a motivated, resourceful, and purpose-driven individual to join as its Social Impact Associate, working closely with the Directors to support the Foundation's mission, programmes, partnerships, and day-to-day organisational development. The Associate will work directly with the Directors to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, coordinate activities, track progress, maintain institutional records, and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Foundation's interventions.

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, take ownership, work collaboratively, and contribute beyond narrowly defined job responsibilities as the organisation grows.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Directors to plan, coordinate, and implement the Foundation's programmes and social impact initiatives.
  • Translate programme concepts into activity plans, schedules, implementation checklists, stakeholder lists, and follow-up actions.
  • Support programme design, community outreach, participant mobilisation, workshop coordination, field activities, and event management.
  • Coordinate with schools, colleges, community institutions, NGOs, government departments, resource persons, volunteers, and implementation partners.
  • Assist in developing programme materials, presentations, awareness resources, training schedules, and participant feedback tools.
  • Maintain programme trackers and provide regular updates on completed activities, pending tasks, challenges, and implementation progress.
  • Identify operational gaps and suggest practical improvements to programme delivery.
  • Take necessary steps as and when directed by the management for smooth functioning of the foundation.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Academic background in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Development Studies, Journalism & Mass Communication, Environmental Studies, Agriculture, Management, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in NGO work, volunteering, internships, community engagement, programme coordination, research, or social initiatives.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and online research. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, digital communication, and basic reporting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. And willing to travel to multiple locations as and when required.
  • Ability to organise information, maintain records, coordinate activities, and manage deadlines.
  • Genuine interest in social development, education, disability inclusion, community welfare, environmental sustainability, or livelihood development.
  • Experience participating in community programmes, educational initiatives, youth activities, environmental campaigns, or disability inclusion work.

Compensation & Growth:

  • Monthly Salary: 13,000–17,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Mentorship: Direct collaboration with Foundation Directors and access to leadership decision-making.
  • Growth: Immediate opportunity to spearhead flagship programmes and build multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Travel & Field Coverage: Official travel reimbursements and programme execution allowances.
