The Role

As Social lead, you'll pioneer the strategy and director of our Social Marketing Capabilities. You'll direct, design, implement and monitor effective social media content, drive platform strategy and ensuring best-in-class execution across always-on content, campaigns, community engagement, and creator partnerships to drive guaranteed business performance. You're our culture vulture, with your hands on the pulse of social media, content and entertainment trends to guide how we think, act and say across a variety of locally relevant topics and categories. You'll help us create social and influence-first communications that builds movements, shift perceptions, rally communities and generate persistent advocacy & brand affinity.

What you'll be doing:

Social Strategy & Channel Leadership

  • Develop and own the overarching social media strategy across all SEA native platforms (Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Xiaohongshu and emerging channels).
  • Define platform roles, content pillars, posting cadence, and audience engagement strategies aligned to brand and business goals.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for social media, advising cross-functional teams on trends, formats, and best practices.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities in social culture, platform innovation, and audience behaviour.

Content Development & Creative Direction

  • Partner with the Creative Content Director on the planning, briefing, and execution of social content across always-on and campaign initiatives.
  • Partner closely with performance media, ad ops, content marketing practitioners to guide storytelling, visual direction, and platform-native creative.
  • Review and optimise content to ensure it meets brand standards, platform relevance, and engagement goals.
  • Oversee content calendars, ensuring strong narrative flow and timely delivery.

Community Management & Audience Engagement

  • Oversee community engagement strategies including moderation, timely responses, FAQ frameworks, and sentiment monitoring.
  • Strengthen audience relationships by fostering meaningful conversations, identifying advocates, and nurturing loyal communities.
  • Escalate key insights, issues, or opportunities from the community to relevant teams.

Creator & Influencer Collaboration

  • Develop social-led creator programs that amplify reach and drive engagement.
  • Evaluate creator fit, brief creators, and ensure quality execution aligned with brand guidelines.

Performance Insighting & Optimisation

  • Define KPIs for social channels and campaigns, and oversee reporting cadence.
  • Analyse social data, trends, and competitive insights to continuously improve content and channel performance.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for future content and campaigns.
  • Identify, Implement and Manage social tools, listening platforms, publishing systems, and operational workflows.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in social media, digital content, or audience engagement roles, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and guiding high-performing teams.
  • Affinity, experience and passion for handling social media channels, creating social media content and driving measurement efforts for social and/or influencer programs including calculating benchmarks and analysing performance
  • A keen interest in cultural and social trends, particularly for SEA's social and content landscape. Always connected to culture and obsessed with all things pop culture and current affairs.
  • Strong hands-on mindset with a self-starting & self-motivating personality; Entrepreneurial and experimental in evolving the role of social and content creation in marketing and communications including exploring and embracing new technologies in data, insights and platforms.
  • Manage, track, and report on performance, using learnings to optimize future creative opportunities. Ability to assess key learnings from campaigns and incorporate them into your next work
  • Excellent client management, presentation and writing skills.
  • Sharp communicator and presenter – verbally, visually and in writing
  • Flawless project and time management skills; detail and process-oriented, comfortable with rigorous agency and client financial processes.
