Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated SOC Trainer for a remote, full-time position. The SOC Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs related to Security Operations Center (SOC) practices. Responsibilities include preparing course materials, conducting virtual training sessions, mentoring participants, and staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in cybersecurity. Collaboration with the curriculum development team and active involvement in community engagement through webinars and events will also be required.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat analysis, incident response, and SOC operations
- Proficiency in tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) IBM Qradar systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security analytics
- Proven ability to create and deliver technical training content, tailored to diverse audiences
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for conducting effective training sessions
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or equivalent are highly desirable
- Experience mentoring or coaching individuals in a technical capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
- Passion for education and making technical knowledge accessible to a wide audience
