- Role Overview
The SoC Architect will lead architecture definition and solution development for complex semiconductor products. This role involves translating customer requirements into scalable SoC architectures, contributing to microarchitecture, and guiding end-to-end design activities. The position requires collaboration across design, verification, and system teams.
- Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand system requirements and define technical solutions
- Define SoC architecture including IP selection, interconnects, and system components
- Develop architectural specifications for new product development
- Contribute to microarchitecture design and feature definition
- Lead SoC design from concept through verification and documentation
- Define module interfaces and simulation models
- Perform RTL design and simulation for functional blocks and subsystems
- Evaluate trade-offs across power, performance, area, and scalability
- Ensure compliance with DFX (Design for Test/Manufacturing) requirements
- Integrate internal and third-party IP into SoC platforms
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams including design, verification, and system engineering
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12+ years of experience OR
- Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in SoC architecture and computer architecture
- Proven experience in RTL design for ASIC/SoC/IP development
- Experience integrating internal and external IP blocks
