Role: Snowflake Developer Data Analytics & Warehousing
Location: India
Experience: 4 years overall IT experience, including 2+ years in data analytics or engineering
Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated Snowflake Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse solutions on the Snowflake platform. This role involves hands-on SQL development, Snowflake object creation, and contribution to data integration, modeling, and reporting initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and BI teams to deliver scalable, high-quality analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain Snowflake objects (tables, views, tasks, streams, stored procedures/functions).
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and analytics.
- Design and implement data models using data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, star schemas).
- Support development and execution of ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct data quality checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of Snowflake components.
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of data and reporting assets.
Primary Skills & Experience
- 4 years overall IT experience, with 2+ years in data-focused roles (data engineering, BI development, or database development).
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts:
- Star schema design
- Facts and Dimensions
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs)
- Experience working in collaborative, agile data teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar ETL tools.
- Familiarity with SAP analytics environments (e.g., S/4HANA ABAP CDS views, SAP BW).
- Exposure to BI/reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation or data processing.
