Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities: Snowflake Platform Engineering

Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake environments including warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and resource monitors.

Optimize query performance and warehouse sizing through workload analysis, clustering strategies, and best-practice tuning.

Implement secure access controls using RBAC, ensuring least-privilege access and audit-friendly governance.

Monitor platform health, usage, and cost recommend improvements to balance performance and spend. Data Transformation with dbt

Build and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation to deliver reliable, analytics-ready datasets.

Establish modular transformation patterns (staging, intermediate, marts) and enforce consistent naming/versioning standards.

Implement data quality checks using dbt tests and support root-cause analysis for data issues. Operational Excellence

Support release and deployment workflows for Snowflake/dbt changes with strong change management practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in data platform engineering, systems engineering, or a related role.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake including performance tuning, security/RBAC, and environment management.

Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) including model development, testing, and documentation.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets and transformation logic.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Computer Science or related fields (BTech/BE/BSc or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) and building curated data marts for analytics use cases.

Familiarity with CI/CD practices for analytics engineering (version control, automated testing, controlled deployments).

Experience implementing data observability practices and operational monitoring for pipelines and warehouse workloads.

Exposure to cost governance in Snowflake (warehouse optimization, query profiling, usage analytics).

Postgraduate qualification (MTech/MCA/MSc or equivalent) is a plus. Good to have skills: Git, CI/CD, Data Modeling, Data Quality/Observability, Python
