Role Summary
Kooe Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled
Snowflake Data Engineer / Specialist with strong expertise in
data modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing scalable data models using
Star and Snowflake schemas, and optimizing workloads within cloud-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities Data Modeling & Architecture
- Design and implement scalable data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema methodologies
- Develop and maintain Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions
- Design and manage fact and dimension tables, including Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs)
Data Engineering & Pipelines
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Manage database schemas, tables, views, and data pipelines
- Support data migration and modernization initiatives
Performance Optimization
- Perform query performance tuning and optimize warehouse usage (compute and storage)
- Implement clustering, partitioning, and cost optimization strategies in Snowflake
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and pipeline issues
Governance & Collaboration
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
- Maintain proper documentation and follow data engineering best practices
Required Skills & Experience- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Deep understanding of:
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Dimensional Modeling
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Strong experience in query optimization and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, SCDs)
- Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline design and implementation
- Knowledge of clustering, partitioning, and cost optimization in Snowflake
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with tools like:
- Exposure to data governance, security, and compliance practices
