Snowflake Business & Data Analyst (Mid-Level, 49 years)

Location :Indore (Hybrid)

Employment Type : Full-time

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field of Engineering or equivalent experience.

About the Role

We're looking for a Snowflake Business & Data Analyst who can translate business questions into data-driven insights and build scalable, high-quality analytics on Snowflake/Teradata platform. You'll partner with business stakeholders, Development, and BI teams to design data models, optimize performance and produce reliable reporting that drives decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Enablement & Insights

  • Engage with business users to understand objectives, define KPIs, and translate needs into analytical solutions and clear requirements
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses and presentations with clear narratives, visuals, and recommendations.
  • Data Modeling & ELT in Snowflake
  • Design conformed, analytics-ready models (star/snowflake schemas, data vault where applicable).
  • Write robust SQL and develop/maintain ELT pipelines Azure Data Factory or relevant)
  • Implement data quality checks (constraints, tests, anomaly detection) and document lineage/definitions.

Performance, Governance & Cost

  • Engage with Infra and development team on defining and tracking best practices on role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, and row-level security
  • Partner with platform teams to monitor spend and usage (e.g., credits, storage, compute) and drive efficiency.

Data Operations

  • Support incident triage and RCA for data issues; Maintain metadata, dictionaries, improve processes through automation and standards.

Required Qualifications (49 years total experience)

  • Strong SQL expertise
  • Hands-on Snowflake: warehouses, databases/schemas, roles, stages, file formats, tasks/streams, time travel, cloning
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI / Cognos etc) and building metrics/KPIs.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling, fact/dimension design) and ELT patterns.
  • Experience working with large datasets, complex joins, and optimization.
  • Ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches and communicate insights clearly.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

  • dbt (models, tests, docs, sources, exposures) and CI/CD for analytics cod
  • Python for data wrangling and automation (pandas, Snowflake Connector)
  • Experience with orchestration (ADF) and version control (Git)
  • Cloud ecosystem exposure (Azure) and data lake formats (Parquet/Delta/Iceberg)
  • Data governance tools/processes (catalog, lineage, PII handling, GDPR/DPDP compliance).
  • Domain experience Transportation / Logistics
  • Certifications: SnowPro Core/Advanced, relevant BI or cloud certifications.
