Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Design: Develop, document, and implement end-to-end Snowflake data warehouse architectures, including data modeling, schema design, and cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Platform Governance & Security: Define standards for security (Role-Based Access Control - RBAC, row/column-level security), data privacy, and governance.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries, configure warehouse sizing, and utilize advanced Snowflake features like Zero-Copy Cloning and Time Travel.
- Data Pipeline Management: Oversee ETL/ELT workflows using Python, SQL, Mongo and tools like Fivetran/Talend to load and transform data.
- Strategic Leadership: Guide cloud modernization efforts, perform capacity planning, and provide best practices for data engineering teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 10-15+ years in data warehousing, with 3+ years specifically in Snowflake architecture.
- Technical Proficiencies: Advanced SQL, Python, and experience with Cloud platforms (AWS S3/Redshift, Azure Data Lake).
- Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (Data Vault, Star Schema).
- Soft Skills: Leadership, communication, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Certifications: SnowPro Core Certification and SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification are highly preferred.
