5+ years of experience as a Snowflake Administrator Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud Deep understanding of: Snowflake architecture Virtual warehouses Micro-partitions Time Travel and Fail-safe Experience with SQL performance tuning Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) Experience with Linux/Unix environments Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Good communication and stakeholder management skills Good to Have (Preferred Skills) Experience with Snowflake replication and failover Exposure to Snowflake data sharing Automation using Python or PowerShell Experience integrating Snowflake with ETL tools (Informatica, ADF, Airflow) Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core / Advanced) Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy)
Snowflake Administration & Operations Administer and manage Snowflake environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod) Configure and manage virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and resource monitors Monitor system performance, query execution, and warehouse utilization Participate in Snowflake account setup, configuration, and upgrades Security & Access Management Manage users, roles, privileges, and role hierarchy Implement role-based access control (RBAC) Integrate Snowflake with SSO / Azure AD / Okta
