Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Snag Engineer to inspect completed construction and interior works, identify defects, coordinate rectification, and ensure projects are handed over to clients with the highest quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection
- Conduct detailed snag inspections of completed civil, architectural, interior, and finishing works.
- Identify defects, incomplete works, and deviations from approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive snag lists with photographs and descriptions.
Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely rectification of snags.
- Follow up until all defects are resolved and verified.
- Ensure punch list items are closed before project handover.
Documentation
- Maintain snag reports, rectification status, and closure records.
- Prepare handover quality reports and completion checklists.
- Ensure all inspection documents are properly maintained.
Handover
- Perform final quality inspections before client handover.
- Ensure apartments, villas, offices, and common areas are ready for possession.
- Assist the project team during client inspections and handovers.
Quality Standards
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Report recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in construction quality, finishing, or snagging inspections.
- Strong knowledge of finishing works, interior works, waterproofing, painting, tiling, joinery, doors, windows, plumbing, and electrical finishes.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and mobile inspection/reporting tools.
