Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
CAD Modelling and Design Development
- Perform CAD modelling of BIW parts and assemblies using CATIA V5 as per engineering guidelines and checklists.
- Ensure adherence to best modelling practices and design standards.
Product Data and BOM Management
- Create and manage product data structures in PLM systems.
- Ensure BOM quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Design Standards and Technical Strategy
- Support development of design standards and carryover strategies aligned with technical policies and technology roadmaps.
- Contribute to engineering of Upper Body Structure sub-modules for various projects.
Technical Problem Solving and Concept Development
- Develop technical proposals for new concepts and resolve design or engineering issues.
- Ensure designs meet performance attributes and regulatory requirements.
Engineering Knowledge Application
- Apply knowledge of body structure construction, sheet metal forming, and assembly processes.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle regulations and structural requirements such as durability, stiffness, crashworthiness, sealing, and corrosion prevention.
Cross-Functional Integration and Tools Usage
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure interface compatibility with other vehicle aggregates.
- Utilize engineering tools such as CATIA analysis modules, FTI, VizVSA, MINT3, RMDVV, and other internal systems.
