Position Summary:
LINC Education is seeking an experienced subject matter expert (SME) to create Academic Content outline for a Master's level unit Robotics and Autonomous Systems in a Master's of Information Technology program. This is an exciting freelance / part-time opportunity to collaborate with internationally reputed universities and contribute to high-quality academic curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop a comprehensive Unit Outline and Constructive Alignment document for the unit.
- In the Unit Outline:
- Develop a comprehensive Unit Overview and Rationale that is conceptually structured and academically grounded
- Conduct extensive research to identify and select appropriate academic and industry-aligned learning resources
- Develop Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs) aligned with Bloom's Taxonomy and AQF Level 9
- Create Course Learning Outcomes (CLO) Unit Learning Outcomes (ULO) Graduate Attributes (GA) mapping from scratch
- Design a complete 6-week topic structure aligned with defined learning outcomes
- Define assessment tasks, including:
- Assessment type and detailed description
- Weightage of each assessment
- Learning outcomes assessed per assessment
- Develop AssessmentULO alignment comprehensively
- Perform proofreading, editing, and formatting to ensure academic consistency and quality
- Ensure all content is original, non-plagiarised, and fully compliant with university and accreditation standards
Note: Extensive academic and industry research is expected throughout the drafting of the Unit Outline.
- The Constructive Alignment document will list the rationale of assessments 1-3, and map the assessments with the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) to the Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs).
Desired Candidate Profile
- PhD is mandatory
- Senior Academic / Head of Program / Highly experienced university faculty
- Strong background in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, or closely related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience in:
- AQF Level 9 curriculum design
- TEQSA-aligned academic documentation
- Outcome-based education and constructive alignment
- Excellent academic writing and research skills
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to work independently and meet tight academic deadlines
- Knowledge of online learning platforms and ability to research authentic academic resources
