Job Description
Experience: 4–8 years in web content management, with at least 3 years on Sitecore (4–5 years is the sweet spot)
Employment type: Full-time
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field preferred)
Salary : 7 to 10 LPA, depending on experience and quality of candidate.
Location: Remote
Sitecore experience is mandatory. We are hiring someone who already authors, publishes and supports sites in Sitecore every day. Experience in other CMS platforms (AEM, WordPress, Drupal and similar) is welcome as a bonus, but it does not replace Sitecore experience. Please do not apply if Sitecore is only a tool you have read about or listed in a skills section.
About the role
We are looking for a Sitecore Content Author to create, migrate, test, publish and support content for enterprise websites on Sitecore XM Cloud and Sitecore 10.x. You will work with designers, developers, QA and business stakeholders, and often with international clients, to keep sites accurate, on-brand, accessible and search-optimised. Much of the work is migrating sites to XM Cloud from earlier platforms (older Sitecore versions or AEM).
Key responsibilities
Sitecore authoring (the core of the role)
- Author, edit, review and publish pages in Sitecore, using Content Editor, Experience Editor and, in XM Cloud, Page Builder.
- Work with Sitecore templates, standard values, renderings, placeholders, datasources and the content tree.
- Manage versioned, shared and unversioned fields, multi-language content and media library assets.
- Run Smart, Incremental and Full publishing, and manage content workflows and approvals.
- Build and manage large page volumes (100s of pages) with headless components, including metadata and responsive checks.
- Take part in site migrations to XM Cloud (from older Sitecore versions such as XP/SXA/SCORE, or from AEM), including content mapping and component replacement.
Testing, support and quality
- Plan and run User Acceptance Testing: validate content, component behaviour and responsiveness across devices and browsers (for example BrowserStack), and log and verify defects.
- Provide L1/L2 Sitecore content support through a ticketing tool (ServiceNow, Jira) within SLA, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Support publishing during releases and troubleshoot publishing or indexing problems.
- Maintain Sitecore user roles and permissions for business users.
- Apply SEO and accessibility basics: page titles, descriptions, alt text and WCAG-aligned content.
- Run client demos of Sitecore functionality, component behaviour and workflows.
Governance and collaboration
- Publish content at high volume for global, high-traffic sites, following governance and workflow rules.
- Run peer reviews and QA checks before publishing, and manage URL redirects where needed.
- Recreate approved designs from Figma in the CMS; do basic image resizing in Photoshop.
- Work in an Agile team, with onsite or international stakeholders, and track work in Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Asana or Workfront.
- Mentor and onboard junior authors; write process documentation and user guides.
Required skills (all of these)
- 3+ years of hands-on Sitecore content authoring, on Sitecore 9.x or 10.x.
- Strong working knowledge of the Sitecore Content Editor and Experience Editor, publishing modes and workflows.
- Ability to show real Sitecore projects: pages built, sites launched or migrated, and your role in them.
- Experience with UAT and manual testing of web content.
- Experience supporting a CMS (L1/L2) using ServiceNow, Jira or similar.
- Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
- On-page SEO and WCAG accessibility basics.
- Clear written and spoken English, with good stakeholder and client communication.
Strongly preferred
- Sitecore XM Cloud experience (Page Builder, headless components, Sitecore AI), or XM Cloud training and badges.
- Sitecore content migration experience (XP/SXA/SCORE to XM Cloud, or AEM to Sitecore).
- Sitecore SXA and multisite or multilingual content experience.
- 4–8 years in total, with experience on a global, high-traffic site.
Nice to have
- AEM, WordPress, Contentful or Drupal authoring.
- Figma and Photoshop; DAM; Asana, Azure DevOps or Workfront.
- Light component work (JavaScript, React/Next.js, Scriban).
- SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics) and AI writing tools.
- Mentoring juniors.
Background we are looking for
- Sitecore content authors, Sitecore web publishers or Sitecore support analysts from IT services and consulting firms (Capgemini, TCS, HTC, Accenture, Cognizant, EPAM, Perficient, Datamatics and similar) or in-house web teams.
- Experience on large corporate sites, ideally in insurance, healthcare, manufacturing or other regulated or global brands.
- Authors who have worked in Sitecore daily, not generalist CMS or content-marketing profiles.
