Job Summary:
The Site Supervisor will manage on-site operations, ensuring efficient execution of project plans, materials, and manpower while maintaining high safety standards. The role involves daily site monitoring, contractor management, and reporting work progress to ensure timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work aligns with project drawings and plans.
- Ensure all work is completed within the set project budget and timeline.
Materials and Manpower Planning:
- Assist in preparing materials forecasts and coordinate timely delivery from suppliers/vendors.
- Maintain a daily inventory of materials supplied and issued, ensuring safe storage at the site.
- Plan workforce requirements in coordination with contractors and office, ensuring optimal manpower use.
Resource Allocation:
- Provide contractors with the necessary drawings and instructions for their work.
- Ensure timely allocation of materials/resources and manage contractor agreements regarding deadlines and costs.
Workforce and Contractor Supervision:
- Ensure adherence to working hours (9:00 am to 6:00 pm) and monitor daily attendance.
- Prepare and send daily work progress reports to the office.
- Track contractor and workforce performance, addressing any issues promptly.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment by enforcing safety codes and using proper safety gear.
- Regularly communicate safety regulations and ensure compliance among the workforce.
- Ensure all equipment is used correctly, and site information/data is kept secure.
Problem Solving and Reporting:
- Identify and resolve site-related problems to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to operational strategies by providing insights for process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 10 years as a Site Supervisor or similar role in construction.
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil engineering will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures and material management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Experience in handling high end luxury projects.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, architectural drawings, layout plans and construction documents.
- Experience in labour and vendor management.
- Problem solving skills and positive attitude
