Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide L2 application and production support for critical enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and operational stability.
  • Monitor production environments using tools such as Nagios, Datadog, and Splunk, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Investigate application failures, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring problems.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL processes while meeting defined SLAs.
  • Support application deployments, service restarts, health checks, and post-release validation activities.
  • Administer and troubleshoot applications hosted on Linux and Windows servers.
  • Execute SQL queries for data validation, issue investigation, and production support.
  • Monitor and maintain scheduled jobs using Control-M, Cron, and related scheduling tools.
  • Support and maintain Apache web servers and applications hosted in VMware environments.
  • Assist with deployment activities using Jenkins and version control using Git.
  • Work with AWS services such as EC2 and S3 to support cloud-hosted applications.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and network teams to resolve complex production issues.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in 24/7 production support and on-call rotations when required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Software development including Application Support and Production Support.
  • Minimum 4 years in Application Support/Production Support
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Windows administration and troubleshooting.
  • Good experience in Application Monitoring using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and production issue resolution.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services, including EC2 and S3.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins for deployment support and Git for version control.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring tools including Nagios, Datadog, and Splunk.
  • Experience using Jira for incident and ticket management.
  • Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to perform effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Good understanding of ITIL principles, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Experience supporting Apache web servers and VMware virtual environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
