We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. The SRE will work closely with our software engineering and operations teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who can design and implement innovative solutions to challenging technical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Monitor systems and respond quickly to any issues that may arise, including performance bottlenecks, security threats, and system failures.
- Measure and optimize system OR process performance setting proper metrics, monitoring and SLAs/SLOs.
- Mitigate risk by analyzing the root cause of production issues, impacts to business, and required corrective actions.
- Collaborate with software engineering and operations teams to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Continuously improve our systems and processes to increase reliability and performance.
- Engages with business customers to identify key platform product issues; solicits feedback on platform product roadmap.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of SRE principles, Production Support Operations, DevOps, CI/CD
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and distributed systems.
- Extensive experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Nodejs, Powershell, Ruby, or SQL
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a global team environment and to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitor tools (Prometheus, Statuscast, Grafana, Elastic APM)
- Knowledge of networking and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) concepts.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Familiar with cloud natives services (lambda, functions, logicapps)
- Knowledge with development tools and CI/CD environments (github, AzureDevOps, Bamboo)
