About Position
We are looking for a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Tools Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the deployment, administration, and optimization of modern observability and monitoring platforms on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable monitoring, logging, tracing, and telemetry solutions using industry-leading open-source technologies such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Open Telemetry, NetObserv, Vector.dev, and Blackbox Exporter. This role is critical in ensuring platform reliability, operational excellence, and end-to-end observability across cloud-native environments.

What You'll Do
- Deploy, configure, and administer observability and monitoring tools on Kubernetes platforms.
- Design and implement scalable monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Thanos, and Grafana.
- Build and maintain centralized logging solutions using Loki and Vector.dev.
- Implement distributed tracing capabilities using Tempo and OpenTelemetry.
- Configure and manage Blackbox Exporter for synthetic monitoring and service availability checks.
- Deploy and support NetObserv for network observability and traffic analysis.
- Define Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and alerting frameworks to improve platform reliability.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable operational insights.
- Automate platform deployment, upgrades, scaling, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot performance, monitoring, logging, and telemetry-related issues in Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Development teams to enhance system reliability and observability.
- Establish best practices for observability, monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response.
Expertise You'll Bring
- Strong experience in Kubernetes administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, NetObserv, Vector.dev, and Blackbox Exporter.
- Deep understanding of observability pillars: Monitoring, Logging, Tracing, and Telemetry.
- Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of container technologies, Kubernetes networking, and service mesh concepts.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes package management and deployment tools such as Helm and Operators.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Understanding of SRE principles, incident management, alerting strategies, and reliability engineering practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
