Role Responsibilities
- Improve CI system performance, reliability, and observability to accelerate engineering velocity
- Design and implement runner autoscaling, resource optimization, and system hardening for scalable CI infrastructure
- Build robust alerting and notification systems to improve visibility and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR)
- Enhance CLI tooling usability and discoverability to streamline developer workflows and adoption
- Manage and optimize SaaS tools, integrations, and configurations for efficient usage, procurement, and lifecycle management
- Develop reusable infrastructure modules (Pulumi) and service templates to standardize and scale engineering practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience, release reliability, and system resilience
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python for building automation, tooling, or backend systems
- Experience working on backend systems, infrastructure, or developer platforms/tooling
- Familiarity with at least one of the following:
- CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite)
- CLI tooling development and UX
- SaaS / IT systems management (e.g., SSO, integrations, lifecycle)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi, Terraform, etc.)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and systems thinking
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
- Experience building internal developer platforms or tooling
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of security best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure
