Role Overview:

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at 5paisa, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability,

availability, and performance of our trading platforms and infrastructure. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to design, build, and maintain resilient systems that meet the demands of our fast-paced

trading environment.

Responsibilities:

System and Infrastructure Reliability:

• Ensure the reliability and availability of trading platforms, order management systems, and other

critical infrastructure used for trading operations.

• Optimize system performance to ensure low-latency trading and fast order execution.

Fault Tolerance and Resilience:

• Design and implement fault-tolerant architectures and systems to minimize downtime and ensure

continuous availability of trading services.

• Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of

system failures or disasters.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Develop and implement monitoring solutions to detect anomalies, performance degradation, and

system failures.

• Respond to incidents promptly and effectively to minimize impact on trading operations.

Deployment and Release Management:

• Manage deployment pipelines and release processes for trading systems, ensuring smooth and

reliable deployments with minimal disruption to trading operations.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices and compliance measures to protect trading systems and

customer data from unauthorized access.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements imposed by SEBI and other regulatory bodies.

Automation and Tooling:

• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks, improve efficiency, and

reduce manual intervention in trading operations.

Capacity Planning:

• Monitor trading volumes and system usage to forecast capacity requirements and plan for scaling

infrastructure to handle peak trading loads.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

• Maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and best practices.

• Share knowledge and collaborate with other teams to improve overall system reliability and

operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 5+ Years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services industry.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms

like Kubernetes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
