This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. The addition of this new, non-billable position based in India within Oracle's Health and AI Database Services Team is a significant step forward in improving our healthcare services in the dynamic multi-tenant cloud environment.

We are looking for passionate Site Reliability Engineers who possess Oracle Database Deep End-to-end Troubleshooting skills, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, Data Management (SQL Performance management, Partitioning, Compression), Exadata expertise, Oracle GoldenGate expertise, and high-scale Database issue analysis skillsets, along with expertise in any of these skills: DevOps, PLSQL, and Python.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Electronics, Operational Research, or Computer System Engineering.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts.
• Experience in building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
• Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, focusing on shipping scalable, cloud-native distributed systems.

• 1+ years of experience with observability platforms, including Grafana and other open-source monitoring and observability tools.

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in AI/ML with a focus on RAG-based solutions and Generative AI applications.

• 1+ years of experience in OCI
• 1+ years of experience and working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, PLSQL, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting.
• 1+ years of experience in the development, management, and organization of Golden Gate replication.
• 1+ years of experience in a scripting language such as Python, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting.
• 1+ years of experience in development in PLSQL.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations).
• Understanding of the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Shepherd and Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD Platforms and components such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Ansible and Chef.
• Knowledge of version control using Git.
• Experience in Maximum Availability Architecture & Best Practices for Oracle Database & Exadata.
• Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus.
• Building and managing Linux OS systems with good understanding how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and ability to read and understand source code.

Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.
