Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings and value addition.
  • Monitor market trends to identify potential sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast material requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Site Procurement Lead should have:

  • At least 10-12 years experience in procurement of MRO Spares, Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Capex Items, Services- preferably from Chemical Industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor development and negotiations
  • Knowledge about entire Procure to Pay cycle
  • Knowledge about commercial terms in purchasing, Indirect taxation- GST, Customs duties, import clearance process.
  • Exposure to handling and storage of chemicals including hazardous materials
  • Experience in contracts negotiations and finalizations, alternate vendors development for annual contracts for services.
  • Awareness about Health, Environment and Safety for procurement related activities
  • Demonstrated strong Planning and organizing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated abilities to work and manage interfaces with other cross functional dept
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead a team of people
