Job Description

Position: Site Manager

Department: Projects / Operations

Reporting To: Project Manager / Project Director

Role Purpose:
The Site Manager shall be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, coordination, and monitoring of slope stabilization and hill slope protection works. The role involves managing site operations, resources, safety, quality, and timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site activities and ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise slope stabilization, soil nailing, rock anchoring, gabion structures, retaining structures, and associated civil works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Review drawings, method statements, and technical documents before execution.
• Manage manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors at site.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and operational issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure proper documentation, measurement, billing support, and project records.
• Implement environmental, health, and safety requirements at the project site.
• Support project planning, resource allocation, and risk management activities.

Educational Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of total professional experience in civil construction projects.
• Experience in slope stabilization and hill slope protection works.
• Hands-on experience in:

  • Soil Nailing
  • Rock Anchoring
  • Gabion Structures
  • Retaining Structures
  • Slope Protection Works
    • Experience in managing site execution teams and subcontractors.
    • Experience in project planning, monitoring, quality control, and safety management.

Desired Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies and site execution.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and reporting.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and government authorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
