Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Chennai. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities, including planning, supervising, and monitoring flooring and civil works to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines. Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, contractors, and client representatives, managing resources and materials, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures. The role involves conducting site inspections, recording work progress, resolving technical issues, and providing detailed reports and documentation to support project delivery. The Site Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the efficient execution of multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in on-site environments, with a focus on field supervision and coordination.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and for maintaining clear documentation.
- Knowledge of quality control practices relevant to civil and flooring works, including inspections, testing, and compliance with standards.
- Foundation in structural engineering or civil engineering principles, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in construction or industrial flooring projects is an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic project management and site reporting tools (e.g., MS Office, site logs).
- Commitment to safety, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work in a fast-paced project environment.
