Job Summary
The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site execution while managing quantity surveying, billing, cost control, and contractor coordination. The role requires ensuring that construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure execution of work as per approved GFC drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.
- Resolve day-to-day site execution issues.
Quantity Surveying
- Prepare quantity take-offs from approved drawings.
- Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Measure executed work and maintain measurement records.
- Monitor quantity variations during project execution.
- Prepare quantity reconciliation statements.
Billing & Cost Control
- Verify contractor RA Bills and Final Bills.
- Prepare client billing wherever applicable.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Assist in preparing project cost reports and cash flow statements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
Material Management
- Estimate material requirements.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery.
- Verify material quantities received at site.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure construction quality as per project specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and coordinate rectification works.
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations.
- Maintain quality and safety records.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Design Consultants, Procurement, Finance, and Contractors.
- Attend project review meetings.
- Assist in preparing work schedules and progress reports.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records, measurement books, BOQs, and billing documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain contractor billing and quantity reconciliation records.
- Ensure proper documentation of variations and change orders.
