Job Summary
The Site Engineer Roads & Infrastructure will be responsible for supervising and executing road and infrastructure works at site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role requires strong technical knowledge of road construction activities and effective coordination with site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise road and infrastructure construction activities including earthworks, subgrade, sub-base, asphalt works, kerbs, drainage, and utilities.
- Supervising and Managing Site-Truck Sewer Installation, Secant Piles, Deep Excavations, Dewatering, Micro Tunneling and Manhole Construction
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor daily site activities and manpower productivity.
Technical & Quality Control
- Interpret and implement construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and testing requirements.
- Identify site issues and provide technical solutions to avoid delays and rework.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, surveyors, and suppliers.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Assist in material planning, site measurements, and work quantity verification.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations on site.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPE.
- Report unsafe practices and incidents promptly.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- 56 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in GCC projects, preferably Bahrain, is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of road construction methods and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with surveying equipment and basic quantity calculations.
- Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
