Site Engineer / Project Supervisor – Retail & Commercial Interior Projects

Location: Bangalore (Travel Across India Required)

Experience: 1–3 Years

Industry: Interior Fit-Outs / Retail Interiors / Turnkey Projects

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Project Management

* Manage complete site execution from mobilization to project handover.

* Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.

* Coordinate daily site activities and ensure work progresses as per schedule.

* Monitor quality, workmanship, and adherence to approved drawings.

* Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and timelines.

Vendor & Manpower Coordination

* Coordinate carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC teams, fabricators, and other subcontractors.

* Track manpower deployment and productivity.

* Resolve site-level issues and coordinate with vendors for smooth execution.

Measurements & Billing

* Take site measurements accurately.

* Prepare quantity calculations and verify executed quantities.

* Assist in preparation of running bills and final bills.

* Maintain records of material consumption and site progress.

Client Coordination

* Act as the primary point of contact at site.

* Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates.

* Coordinate with architects, consultants, mall management teams, and client representatives.

Material Management

* Raise material requirements in coordination with the procurement team.

* Verify materials received at site against approved specifications.

* Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.

Quality & Safety

* Ensure execution meets company quality standards.

* Conduct regular quality checks and snag inspections.

* Ensure safety practices are followed by all workers and subcontractors.

Documentation & Reporting

* Submit daily and weekly progress reports.

* Maintain site photographs, measurement records, and execution documentation.

* Track project milestones and highlight delays proactively.

Desired Skills

* Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and construction details.

* Good understanding of interior fit-out works including carpentry, civil, electrical, plumbing, painting, signage, and finishing.

* Strong communication and coordination skills.

* Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and project documentation.

* Problem-solving attitude and willingness to take ownership.

* Ability to travel extensively across India.

Qualifications

* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Interior Execution, Construction Management, or related field.

* 1–3 years of experience in interior fit-out, retail, commercial, or construction projects.
