Roles And Responsibilities
- Site Management & Material Approval
- Estimate material requirements, obtain client approvals, and manage site procurement status.
- Ensure site work adheres to drawings, BOQ, and project specifications.
- Project Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, project managers, and vendors to align project goals.
- Attend client review meetings to present project progress and address concerns.
- Regularly interact with contractors supervisors and document daily site activities.
- Execution & Manpower Management
- Interpret and implement design/layout plans effectively on-site.
- Manage manpower resources independently to achieve targets and maintain quality.
- Enforce quality control measures and maintain safety standards throughout the project.
- Installation & Commissioning of Electrical Systems
- Execute independent installation activities for cable trays, power/data/telephone cables, and earthing pits.
- Commission low-voltage systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, public address, and door interlock systems.
- Handle cable laying and terminations for various cable types and specifications.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of panels (PCC, MCC, APFC, UPS, lighting DBs, VFD control panels) and light fixtures.
- Drawing Review & Documentation
- Detail, review, and validate electrical drawings for lighting, socket layouts, power and earthing layouts, and cable tray routes.
- Can Prepare as-built drawings and obtain client approvals as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with IEC and Indian standards, securing statutory approvals.
- Equipment Coordination & Technical Problem Solving
- Liaise with equipment suppliers/vendors to troubleshoot design and installation issues.
- Supervise Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and instrument installations.
- Technical Proficiency & Safety
- Basic knowledge of instrument calibration, validation, and electrical parameter calculations.
- Size and evaluate electrical equipment, including HT/LT switchyards, transformers, DG sets, and UPS units.
- Adhere to electrical safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
