We are seeking a proactive, technically competent and driven Site Engineer (Civil, Structural & Architectural Works) to support the successful delivery of complex building and specialist architectural projects.
This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from engineering coordination and construction planning to site execution, quality management and project completion. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Professional Engineers, consultants, architects, subcontractors and construction teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The position is suited for engineers with strong site experience in reinforced concrete construction, structural works and architectural installations who are capable of independently managing site operations, quality inspections and project coordination.
Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities across civil, structural and architectural work fronts.
Monitor project progress and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
Plan site activities and coordinate labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
Participate in construction planning, sequencing, buildability reviews and productivity improvement initiatives.
Identify and resolve site constraints, construction challenges and technical issues to maintain project progress.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders on site-related matters.
Supervise reinforced concrete works including foundations, walls, slabs, beams, columns and structural elements.
Coordinate reinforcement installation, formwork, embedded items, concrete placement and structural steel works.
Verify dimensions, levels, alignments and tolerances prior to construction and casting activities.
Ensure compliance with approved construction methodologies, engineering requirements and project specifications.
Monitor temporary works, lifting operations and construction safety requirements.
Coordinate inspections with consultants, Professional Engineers and project stakeholders.
Coordinate installation of architectural finishes, façade systems, GRC/GFRC elements, cladding systems, waterproofing works and associated architectural interfaces.
Ensure architectural works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, mock-ups and quality standards.
Coordinate interfacing works between civil, structural, architectural and M&E disciplines.
Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and approved samples.
Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on technical matters.
Identify and resolve design discrepancies, construction conflicts and technical issues.
Support engineering reviews, value engineering proposals and constructability assessments.
Assist in preparation of technical documentation, reports, material submissions and project submissions.
Support implementation of BIM-coordinated construction and multidisciplinary project delivery.
Conduct inspections of civil, structural and architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project quality standards.
Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients and project stakeholders.
Prepare, review and submit QA/QC documentation including inspection requests, inspection checklists, material records, testing reports and quality records.
Ensure all inspection records, testing reports and quality documentation are properly maintained and updated.
Review and sign off internal QA/QC reports, inspection records and construction checklists prior to submission.
Coordinate consultant inspections and ensure timely closure of comments, defects and punch list items.
Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions and defect rectification works until satisfactory closure.
Support project handover documentation, as-built records and quality close-out requirements.
Ensure all site activities comply with Workplace Safety and Health requirements and company safety policies.
Implement approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Work Procedures.
Conduct site inspections and coordinate toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance by all personnel on site.
Coordinate with WSH personnel and project management to maintain a safe working environment.
Prepare daily site reports, progress updates and project records.
Monitor work progress against project schedules and report key issues to management.
Prepare and maintain Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), material records and technical documentation.
Ensure all QA/QC reports, inspection records and project documentation are properly completed, reviewed and signed off.
Assist in authority inspections, consultant audits and project compliance reviews.
Maintain proper document control and traceability of construction records throughout the project lifecycle.
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil, structural and architectural construction projects.
Experience in reinforced concrete construction, structural steel works, façade installation, GRC/GFRC systems, waterproofing works or infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
Experience working with consultants, main contractors and project stakeholders in Singapore will be preferred.
Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction methodologies and structural works.
Good knowledge of architectural construction, façade systems and interfacing trades.
Ability to read and interpret engineering, structural and architectural drawings.
Familiarity with QA/QC systems, inspection procedures and project documentation requirements.
Knowledge of construction sequencing, temporary works and site management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
BIM/Revit experience will be advantageous.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
