Job Overview

We are hiring a qualified Mechanical / Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in electrical supervision within City Gas Distribution (CGD) infrastructure projects.

Summary

Responsible for daytoday site supervision across multiple City Gas Distribution (CGD) project components, including pipeline laying and station installations. Ensures that construction activities conform to design specifications, applicable codes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site supervision: Oversee construction activities for CGS, CNG, LNG, steel pipeline, GI installations, PE pipeline laying and LMC works at each GA/location. Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
2. Compliance and coordination: Verify that execution complies with design documents, codes and standards. Coordinate with contractors and the Resident Construction Manager (RCM) to resolve technical or scheduling issues.
3. Quality and safety monitoring: Monitor site safety and quality; conduct inspections; record measurements and maintain daily/weekly progress reports.
4. Commissioning support: Assist commissioning and startup activities, including participation in precommissioning tests, preparation of asbuilt documentation and support of system handover.
5. Materials management: Liaise with the store incharge and SAP engineer to ensure materials are available, properly issued and recorded in the ERP system. Assist with material reconciliation and documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 3–4 years in relevant field (Oil & Gas / City Gas Distribution preferred)
• Strong coordination and reporting skills
• Willing to work at project sites PAN India.
• Skills: Familiarity with gas industry construction standards (PNGRB T4S/OISD/ASME), ability to read technical drawings, good communication and coordination skills, basic understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems for material management.
