Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Site Civil Engineers to manage and supervise civil construction activities for wind energy projects, including WTG foundations, PSS/control room works, roads, bypasses, bell mouths, hard stands and crane pads.
The candidate will be responsible for site execution, quality control, measurements, contractor coordination, documentation and ensuring infrastructure readiness for WTG erection and heavy crane movement.
Key Responsibilities
WTG Foundation & PSS Works
- Supervise WTG foundation activities including excavation, PCC, RCC and backfilling.
- Monitor anchor cage placement, alignment and level.
- Inspect reinforcement, shuttering and concreting activities.
- Supervise PSS/control room civil works.
- Monitor transformer foundations, cable trenches and boundary wall works.
- Conduct stage-wise quality inspections and WIP clearances.
- Monitor concrete curing and cube test reports.
- Coordinate with electrical and WTG erection teams for interface readiness.
Road & Infrastructure Development
- Supervise temporary and permanent road development works.
- Monitor bypass, bell mouth, hard stand and crane pad development.
- Verify excavation, compaction, GSB/WMM layers and road formation.
- Ensure proper road alignment, slope and drainage arrangements.
- Supervise preparation of heavy crane pathways and access roads.
- Coordinate with contractors for manpower, machinery, resources and execution planning.
- Coordinate with crane movement and WTG logistics teams.
Quality, Measurement & Documentation
- Carry out quality inspections for compaction, layer thickness, RCC and road readiness.
- Verify BOQ quantities, measurements and material reconciliation.
- Prepare DPR, daily progress reports and measurement sheets.
- Maintain QA/QC and site documentation.
- Review structural drawings and ensure execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with client/PMC and project teams for site requirements and approvals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 3–7 years of relevant site experience, preferably in wind/renewable energy projects.
- Experience in WTG foundation and wind project civil works.
- Strong knowledge of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering and concreting.
- Knowledge of PSS/control room construction and associated civil works.
- Good understanding of road construction, GSB/WMM and compaction testing.
- Experience in heavy crane pathway/crane pad preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret structural/civil drawings.
- Knowledge of QA/QC documentation and construction standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
- Good contractor coordination and site management skills.
