Job Summary:
Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for handling fabrication, production support, installation coordination, and quality control of aluminium doors, windows, and façade systems. The role involves working closely with design, civil, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:1. Production & Fabrication:
- Supervise fabrication of aluminium doors, windows, and frames.
- Ensure correct cutting, machining, and assembly as per drawings.
- Monitor production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Optimize material usage and reduce wastage.
2. Site Execution & Installation:
- Coordinate with site engineers for installation activities.
- Ensure proper alignment, fixing, and finishing of systems.
- Handle on-site issues related to installation and measurements.
- Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings.
3. Drawing & Technical Support:
- Read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD / fabrication drawings).
- Coordinate with design team for any drawing clarifications.
- Prepare basic fabrication sketches if required.
4. Quality Control:
- Inspect materials and finished products.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained during fabrication and installation.
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
5. Material & Inventory Management:
- Track material requirements and usage.
- Coordinate with procurement team for timely supply.
- Maintain stock records and minimize shortages.
6. Coordination & Reporting:
- Coordinate with civil, design, and project teams.
- Maintain daily progress reports.
- Report issues, delays, and risks to senior management.
7. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure safety standards are followed in factory and at site.
- Monitor usage of PPE and safe working practices.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of aluminium systems, fabrication, and installation
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks (preferred)
- Understanding of tools, machines, and hardware used in fabrication
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and coordination ability
Educational Qualification:
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
