Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and maintain discrete event simulation models using PlantSIM for manufacturing plants and supply chain processes.
- Execute end-to-end simulation projects from requirement gathering, scoping, model building, validation, to insights presentation.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements in production lines, logistics, and supply chain networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, supply chain, IT, operations excellence) to integrate simulation insights into decision-making.
- Support digital twin initiatives by linking PlantSIM models with real-time data sources.
- Document model assumptions, results, and recommendations in a structured manner for stakeholders.
- Provide training and knowledge sharing on PlantSIM usage within the organization.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Plant Simulation (PlantSIM), with proven track record of executing projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain concepts, and production planning.
- Experience in discrete event simulation, operations research, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting within PlantSIM (SimTalk).
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital twin implementations and integration with ERP/MES systems.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (Python, SQL, Visualisation tools, etc.) is an added advantage.
