Job Description
- Provide clear hand signals and instructions to crane, hydra, forklift, and other equipment operators.
- Guide heavy vehicles and construction equipment safely within the project site.
- Assist in lifting, shifting, loading, and unloading of construction materials.
- Ensure proper positioning of equipment before lifting operations.
- Check the lifting area for obstacles, workers, electrical lines, and other hazards.
- Coordinate with the Crane Operator, Site Engineer, Safety Officer, and Rigging Team.
- Ensure barricading and safe exclusion zones during lifting operations.
- Follow approved lifting plans and site safety procedures.
- Assist in checking lifting tools, tackles, slings, shackles, hooks, and other equipment before use.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions or lifting-related hazards to the Safety Officer/Site Engineer.
- Maintain safe communication between the operator and ground team during operations.
- Follow all company and project safety rules and PPE requirements.
