Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Should Costing Engineer with deep expertise in machined, forged and cast components, particularly in the context of Industrial Equipment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cost modeling with aPriori software and will play a pivotal role in supporting Global client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead should-cost analysis for machined parts, cast components, and complex assemblies used in OEM machinery.
- Collaborate with client's design, procurement, and supplier development teams to validate cost models and support negotiation strategies.
- Utilize aPriori for cost modelling.
- Benchmark supplier quotes and manufacturing processes to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Present cost findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and OEM Global teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or production engineering.
- 810 years of experience in should costing, value engineering, or cost estimation.
- Strong understanding of forging,casting processes (e.g., sand casting, ductile iron), machining operations.
- Proficiency in costing software tools and engineering analysis methods (e.g., FMEA, regression analysis, FAST diagrams).
- Experience working with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers, preferably in the Industrial equipment domain.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Exposure to OEM Global's product lines or similar OEM environments.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
