Overview

The UK Shopper Insights role plays a critical role in BU commercial execution. This role owns all UK-specific Channel Passport reporting - including channel YoY value trends, penetration / frequency / basket decomposition, shopper switching flows, and mission-based read-outs - produced for commercial leadership every month.


Responsibilities

  • Support the UK team in generating insights from current and historical trends.
  • Extract sales, shelf prices and other relevant data from third-party sources, such as Kantar, Nielsen, GlobalData.
  • Cleanse and transform data via PowerPoint, Excel or Power BI, ensuring accuracy and consistency through mapping SKUs, correcting erroneous entries, and standardizing formats.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to bring in automation and innovation to current reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with local market teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Monitor data integrity and implement quality control checks throughout the data handling process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during data extraction, transformation or upload stages.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, transformations, and mappings.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and data manipulation.
  • Strong knowledge of generating business insights by reading trends in data to uncover patterns and build a story.
  • Experience with Power BI or Power Query for data manipulation and analysis is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bias for action and ability to influence change without authority will be critical enablers of success in this role.
