About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Shopify & WordPress Developer who can independently handle website projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, understands both platforms inside out, and can build, optimize, and maintain websites with precision and performance in mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Shopify and WordPress websites end-to-end — from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure websites are fast, secure, mobile-friendly, and SEO-optimized.
- Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver visually appealing and high-performing websites.
- Manage hosting environments, perform backups, migrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Handle integrations, custom functionalities, and automation across both platforms.
Core ExpertiseShopify Development
- Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Develop and modify Shopify apps, sections, and templates.
- Set up and configure Shopify stores, collections, product pages, and checkout processes.
- Integrate payment gateways, third-party APIs, and tracking tools.
- Optimize store performance for speed, SEO, and conversions.
- Experience with Shopify Plus or headless setups is a plus.
WordPress Development
- Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, PHP, MySQL, and theme/plugin structures.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Manage WooCommerce stores, custom post types, and advanced plugin configurations.
- Handle hosting setup, AWS, migrations, SSL, DNS, and troubleshooting.
- Optimize for Core Web Vitals, caching, and site speed.
- Ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code with security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with both Shopify and WordPress.
- Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL, AWS and Shopify Liquid.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of technical SEO, analytics setup, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with APIs, version control (Git), and server management tools (cPanel, FTP, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus, WooCommerce customization, and automation tools.
- Understanding of headless CMS, React, or Next.js integrations.
- Prior experience working in an agency or e-commerce setup.
