We're Hiring: Shopify UI/UX Designer (On-Site | Bengaluru)
NyxaLabs is looking for a dedicated Shopify UI/UX Designer to join our team in Bengaluru. This role is strictly for designers specializing in Shopify. It is not a developer role.
Role Overview
As a Shopify UI/UX Designer, you will design user-friendly and visually refined e-commerce experiences. You will be responsible for creating wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs that enhance both mobile and desktop user journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive Shopify store experiences with a mobile-first approach
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Apply user-centered design principles to improve usability
- Collaborate with development and marketing teams
- Incorporate user feedback to refine designs
- Maintain consistency in branding and visual design
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Shopify UI/UX design
- Strong portfolio showcasing Shopify design work
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Solid understanding of Shopify ecosystem, themes, and best practices
- Working knowledge of Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for collaboration
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to deliver quality work within defined timelines
Your Portfolio Must Show
- Real Shopify stores you designed (not just mockups or concepts)
- Before/after redesigns with measurable improvements
- Mobile-first designs with clean checkout flows
- Consistency in branding and attention to detail
- Variety across industries showing adaptability
You Will Be Evaluated On
- Conversion thinking: Do you design for sales or just aesthetics
- Shopify awareness: Can you design within Shopify's real constraints
- Speed: Can you deliver quality work on tight timelines
- Communication: Can you explain the why behind your design decisions
- Feedback handling: How do you respond to critique and iteration
What We'll Ask You
- Walk us through a Shopify store you designed. What problem were you solving
- How did your design impact the store's conversion rate or revenue
- Show us a design you're not proud of. What would you do differently today
- A client wants a homepage with 15 sections. How do you push back
- How do you approach designing for mobile vs desktop on Shopify
