We are looking for a creative and technically gifted Shopify Theme Developer (2-3 years experience) to join our Research and Development department. The ideal candidate doesn't just install themes; they build lightning-fast, pixel-perfect, and highly interactive storefronts from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Custom Theme Construction: Develop sophisticated Shopify themes from scratch based on high-fidelity Figma.
- Liquid Architecture: Build modular, reusable Liquid sections and snippets that allow merchants to easily manage content via the Shopify Customizer.
- Interactive Front-End: Use Vanilla JS (ES6+) and AJAX to create seamless user interactions, such as slide-out carts, advanced filtering, and dynamic product variants.
- UI/UX Fidelity: Ensure every pixel of the design is translated accurately across all breakpoints (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop).
- Troubleshooting: Debug cross-browser compatibility issues and Liquid logic conflicts.
Requirements
- Liquid Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Liquid objects, tags, filters, and the Shopify Schema for theme settings.
- Modern Front-End: Deep proficiency in HTML5 CSS3/SASS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Tooling: Experience with Shopify CLI, GitHub/Bitbucket for version control, and build tools like Webpack or Vite.
Soft Skills And Competencies
- Design Eye: A keen sense of aesthetics and the ability to spot a 1px misalignment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to find creative theme-side solutions for complex client requests without over-relying on heavy third-party apps.
- Communication: Collaborating closely with UI/UX designers to determine what is technically feasible.
