About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Shopify SEO Expert who can both strategize and implement. This role is for someone who knows Shopify inside out, can execute technical and on-page SEO optimizations directly in the platform, and is confident in writing and optimizing content that ranks. If you also bring analytics/tracking expertise (GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel), that's a big plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and manage all on-page and technical SEO tasks directly in Shopify.
- Optimize site structure, URLs, meta tags, headings, image alt text, and schema markup.
- Implement redirects, canonical tags, robots.txt edits, sitemaps, and indexation fixes.
- Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness.
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to guide SEO strategy.
- Write and optimize SEO-friendly blog posts and product content.
- Monitor SEO performance, track KPIs, and report progress.
- Bonus: Set up and manage analytics/tracking (GA4, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel).
Requirements
- Proven, practical experience implementing SEO on Shopify stores.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO and on-page optimization best practices.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Liquid for SEO adjustments in Shopify.
- Solid English writing skills for content optimization.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Bonus: Experience with analytics/tracking setup and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- 23+ years of SEO experience, with Shopify-specific projects in your portfolio.
- Track record of improving rankings, organic traffic, and conversions.
- Understanding of both technical SEO and content-driven SEO.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
