Shopify Project Manager (E-commerce)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Shopify Project Manager with strong hands-on experience managing Shopify (or BigCommerce) projects. The ideal candidate has led end-to-end e-commerce implementations from requirements gathering and platform setup to store launch and post-deployment optimization.

This role requires a solid understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including theme customization, integrations, migrations, and performance optimization. You will work closely with developers, designers, clients, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of Shopify projects from planning to post-launch optimization

Act as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams

Collaborate with developers and designers on storefronts, APIs, and integrations

Lead migration projects from Magento, WooCommerce, or custom platforms

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Identify and implement Shopify apps and third-party integrations

Oversee QA, testing, and performance for smooth store launches

Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders

Continuously improve e-commerce project delivery workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of experience as an E-commerce Project Manager

Mandatory experience managing Shopify projects

Strong understanding of platform architecture, APIs, customizations, and integrations

Experience with migrations, theme customization, and store setup

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies

Experience using Jira, Trello, or Asana

Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Good understanding of e-commerce operations (catalog, checkout, payments, shipping, fulfillment)
