Shopify Product Manager Marketplace & Growth

Location: Bengaluru / Jalandhar / Remote (India)

Type: Full-time

Reports to: CEO / Growth Lead

KIBI Sports is Indias sports industry monetization platform, connecting 15,000+ athletes, 800+ institutions, and 1,000+ venues - with a fast-growing Shopify marketplace (80+ brands live, 10,000+ SKUs) now expanding globally.

Role Summary

Own the end-to-end growth of our Shopify marketplace as we transition to an international Shopify setup. Youll be the single-threaded owner for product, CRO, and performance marketing - partnering with our catalog, dev, and brand teams to scale GMV, ROAS, and international markets. This is a hands-on product + growth role.

What Youll Own

1) Product & Internationalization

Lead Shopify - Markets rollout (currencies, pricing, taxes/duties, geolocation, shipping rules).

Define and ship the product roadmap: navigation, collections, PDP templates, checkout optimizations, apps.

Ensure compliance/readiness for international ops (policies, invoices, addresses, returns, duties).

2) Marketplace & Brand Partnerships

Scale from 80+ to 200+ brands: pipeline, evaluation, contracts/licenses, onboarding SLAs.

Coordinate with brands on catalog health (images, specs, variants), promotions, and co-marketing.

Guardrails for brand compliance: logo usage, MAP/MRP policies, category taxonomy, product QA.

3) CRO & UX

Own funnel KPIs (landing PDP cart checkout).

A/B test copy, price cues, bundles, sticky ATC, upsells/cross-sells, trust, reviews, page speed.

Heatmaps/session replay; fix friction fast with in-house devs.

4) Performance Marketing (Hands-on)

Plan and run Google Ads (Search/PMAX/Shopping/YouTube) and Meta(prospecting/retargeting/Catalog).

Build and manage product feeds (GMC & Facebook Catalog) and fix feed diagnostics.

Implement GA4 + GTM + Conversion API, clean event schema, UTM hygiene, weekly experimentation.

5) Lifecycle & Retention

Stand up email/SMS (e.g., Klaviyo): abandon cart/browse, post-purchase, win-back, cross-sell.

RFM/segment strategy, seasonal calendars, review generation, loyalty/referrals.

6) Analytics, Forecasting & Governance

Weekly dashboards: ROAS, MER, CAC, CVR, AOV, LTV, GMV, cohort returns by market.

Forecast demand, align inventory with brands, and pace budgets to target.

Data privacy, ad policy compliance, payment & tax hygiene.

Youll Work With

Cataloging specialist (feeds, listings, data hygiene).

Developers (Shopify theme/app & speed).

Brand/Partnerships (onboarding, licenses, co-marketing).

Leadership (targets, OKRs, budget).

Must-Have Experience

47+ years in Shopify product/growth for D2C or marketplace (multi-brand strongly preferred).

Proven ownership of CRO + paid acquisition with profitable scale (ROAS targets at 1.5L10L+/mo).

Deep with GA4, GTM, GMC, Meta Commerce, catalog/feed tools (e.g., DataFeedWatch/Feedonomics).

Hands-on with A/B testing, PDP frameworks, merchandising tactics, and page-speed optimization.

Strong partner management (contracts, brand licensing, onboarding playbooks).

Nice-to-Haves

Prior international Shopify rollout (multi-currency, duties, market-specific catalogs).

Looker Studio dashboards; basic SQL; experience with reviews/UGC, loyalty & affiliate tooling.

SEO for large catalogs (collections architecture, internal linking, schema).

Success Metrics (30/60/90)

Day 30

Complete CRO audit & testing roadmap; fix top-5 friction points.

Clean tracking parity (10% discrepancy) across GA4 vs ad platforms.

International readiness checklist done for top 3 priority markets.

Day 60

Launch first 23 international markets with localized pricing/shipping.

Improve PDPCart CVR +15%; page speed <2.5s LCP on top templates.

ROAS 5 blended with defined scaling plan.

Day 90

Add 4060 net new brand live with SLA-based onboarding.

Email/SMS contributes 2030% revenue with healthy list growth.

Blended ROAS path to 810; MER tracked and stable; GMV up 4060% QoQ (run-rate).

Tools Youll Use

Shopify (Markets, Payments/PG integrations), GA4, GTM, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Meta Ads Manager, Klaviyo (or similar), Looker Studio, Sheets, feed managers, Hotjar/Clarity, review & loyalty apps.

Compensation

Competitive fixed + performance bonus tied to GMV, ROAS/MER, CVR, and international market milestones.

Hiring Process

1. Intro call (fit & portfolio).

2. Practical assignment (4872h):

2-week test plan (budget split, audiences, 5 ad angles, 3 hooks, sample creatives/LPs).

CRO teardown of 1 collection + 2 PDPs (quick wins + test backlog).

International roll-out checklist for 2 markets.

3. Panel (product deep dive + campaign walk-through + brand onboarding case).
