Shopify Merchandising Analyst

About the Role
This is not a product listing role.
As a Shopify Merchandising Analyst, you will own the merchandising and product visibility strategy of our Shopify store. You'll use data to decide which products customers see first, optimize collections, improve discoverability, manage product feeds, and continuously enhance website performance.
You will work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Leadership to drive revenue through better merchandising, automation, and analytics.
Key ResponsibilitiesShopify Merchandising
- Manage merchandising across the Shopify website.
- Optimize homepage, collection pages, search results, navigation menus, and featured product sections.
- Improve product visibility based on sales performance, inventory, margins, seasonality, and business priorities.
- Ensure products, collections, filters, and tags are well-structured and updated.
- Manage product launches and promotional merchandising across the website.
Product Performance Analysis
- Analyze product and category performance using key business metrics such as:
- Sales
- Conversion Rate (CVR)
- Click-Through Rate (CTR)
- Revenue
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Inventory Turnover
- Gross Margin
- Best Sellers & Slow Movers
- Identify opportunities to increase product discoverability and sales.
- Provide actionable insights through regular business reports.
Data Analytics & Automation
- Build dashboards using Power BI.
- Create automated reports using Google Sheets and Google Apps Script.
- Develop and maintain business reports for management.
- Identify repetitive tasks and automate workflows to improve efficiency.
Google Merchant Center
- Manage and optimize product feeds in Google Merchant Center.
- Monitor and resolve feed errors, product disapprovals, and data quality issues.
- Ensure product attributes such as GTINs, pricing, availability, and images comply with Google's requirements.
- Coordinate with the Performance Marketing team to support Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.
SEO & Website Optimization
- Optimize product titles, descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, URLs, and collection pages for SEO.
- Improve internal search experience and product discoverability.
- Work with the marketing team to enhance organic traffic and search rankings.
- Maintain SEO best practices across the Shopify store.
Business Intelligence
- Monitor website performance and customer behavior.
- Identify underperforming categories and products.
- Recommend improvements in merchandising, pricing, and assortment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven improvements.
