About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven Shopify Business Manager who will take complete ownership of our D2C business and be responsible for scaling revenue, improving profitability, managing operations, inventory, team building, customer experience, and overall business growth.
This is not just a Shopify management role. The candidate will act like a business owner and be accountable for achieving revenue, ROAS, profitability, inventory health, and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Business Growth
- Drive overall Shopify revenue growth month-on-month.
- Create and execute growth strategies to increase orders, AOV, and profitability.
- Analyze business performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Launch new products, bundles, offers, and promotions.
- Improve conversion rates across the website.
Performance Marketing Oversight
- Manage and optimize Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other acquisition channels.
- Improve ROAS, MER, CAC, and customer acquisition efficiency.
- Coordinate with creative and marketing teams for ad creatives and campaigns.
- Scale winning campaigns while maintaining profitability.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Maintain healthy inventory levels across all SKUs.
- Prevent stock-outs (OOS) and reduce overstock situations.
- Forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams.
- Improve inventory turnover and working capital efficiency.
Operations & Customer Experience
- Improve delivery percentage and reduce RTO.
- Monitor NDR, cancellations, returns, and customer complaints.
- Ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment.
- Optimize shipping costs and logistics performance.
- Maintain excellent customer satisfaction metrics.
Team Leadership & Hiring
- Build and manage the Shopify growth team.
- Hire and train marketing, operations, customer support, and content team members.
- Set KPIs and performance targets for each department.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and accountability meetings.
Data & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly business reports.
- Monitor key business metrics including:
- Revenue
- Net Delivered Sales
- ROAS
- AOV
- Conversion Rate
- Delivery %
- RTO %
- Customer Acquisition Cost
- Inventory Turnover
- Repeat Purchase Rate
- Present actionable insights and growth plans.
Profitability & Financial Management
- Improve contribution margin and net profit.
- Control operational leakages and unnecessary expenses.
- Optimize shipping, packaging, advertising, and inventory costs.
- Ensure healthy cash flow management.
Website & Conversion Optimization
- Improve Shopify store performance and user experience.
- Conduct A/B testing for landing pages and product pages.
- Increase website conversion rate through continuous optimization.
- Implement upsell, cross-sell, and retention strategies.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop quarterly and annual growth plans.
- Identify new sales channels and expansion opportunities.
- Benchmark competitors and industry trends.
- Build SOPs and scalable processes across departments.
- Work directly with founders to achieve business goals.

Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years experience in Shopify/D2C business management.
- Experience managing ₹1 Cr+ monthly online revenue.
- Strong understanding of Meta Ads, Google Ads, CRO, and retention marketing.
- Excellent inventory planning and forecasting skills.
- Experience hiring and leading teams.
- Strong analytical and business management mindset.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
- Ability to take complete ownership and deliver results.
